 Welcome Kimberley,
*  Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a wife and a mother of two teenagers, one German Shepherd, two cats, one rat and lots of fish. I love to walk and hike in the great outdoors, and consider myself an amateur photographer who loves to take tons of pictures of nature.
I Certified as a Personal Trainer, a Fitness Consultant, a Fitness Instructor, and as a Weight Training Instructor. I used this training to design and implement employee wellness programs and counsel individuals on weight control, stress management, self esteem improvement and overall wellness.
I used my education and experience to write the devotional Women of Strength
 * What do you like to do to get away from it all?

I love to hike in the woods, have a fun game of tennis, or enjoy a bike ride with a good friend.

 *  What is included in the book?

Women of Strength is a devotional to improve spiritual and physical health.  Each section includes an inspirational devotional, facts on common health and fitness questions, reflections, prayer, a Bible verse, and journaling suggestions along with an energizing exercise for those seeking to be spiritually and physically fit.

 * What was the inspiration (motivation) behind the book? (Why did you write the book?)

This devotional book was born out of a desire to become more physically healthy. As a former personal trainer, I knew all about exercise and nutrition, however there was still something missing. Or should I say Someone.

In the past, I had never included God in my health and fitness plan. I thought it wasn't something worthy of His attention. However, God checked my spirit and told me that He wants to be part of everything in my life...even something as small as losing a few pounds.

* What do you hope this book accomplishes?

Women of Strength is a devotional for women, dedicated to encouraging them to discover how easy it is to become more physically active while improving their spiritual walk with God. Women of Strength emphasizes overall health, not just weight loss. The devotional includes strategies that empower women to make small changes in her daily routines to improve the quality of their lives.

* Who (or what) is your greatest encourager when you write and why?

My readers. When they email me, or leave a comment on my blog I feel encouraged that someone is reading my works and gaining something from it.

* Any tips for upcoming authors?

Read, read, read. Read a library’s worth of books in order to write one book.

 * How can readers connect with you?

Devotional Blog: Return Home and Tell http://www.returnhomeandtell.wordpress.com
Fitness Blog: Fit for Faith www.fitforfaith.blogspot.com
YouTube: Fit4Faith channel http://tinyurl.com/3jnjpkp

* What genre is your book?

Featuring Author Poppy Smith

WHY CAN’T HE BE MORE LIKE ME?

Question l:  You’ve written the book Why Can’t He Be More Like Me? Tell us a little bit about the book and why you decided to write it.

Marriage is difficult for many people and our culture’s message is if you’re unhappy for some reason, move on. Unfortunately, many Christian couples divorce because they don’t get along but God wants to use our differences to draw us into a deeper relationship with Him.  This is what happened to me.  I wanted to run away because I felt I’d made a terrible mistake marrying someone who was so different from me. But God had another message for me—Let me change your heart and your attitudes and thinking. Let me make you someone you’d never be without letting me work in your life.

Question 2: Because husbands and wives grow up in different homes, problems often arise when they come together to create their own home. Do you have any suggestions to help?

When you’re baffled or irritated by how your spouse responds or behaves, it is very helpful to ask: “How did your family do this? How did they handle conflict? How did they show, or not show, emotions? Communicate? What did your family enjoy doing together? How did they handle money? Divide the work load?” The more you learn about each other’s backgrounds and parental role models, the more you will understand him, and yourself. Gaining these insights helps you to understand instead of find fault!

Question 3: Your book offers practical advice for finding common ground in nine areas. What is the overall secret you wish women understood?

We women need to understand we didn’t marry our clones. Nor did we marry our girlfriend. We married a man—they are not women in disguise.  Yes, they need to change and grow, but so do we. So be willing to forgive, look for his good points, and pray for a new and powerful love for your spouse.

Featuring Missionary La' Tanyha Boyd

Who is this Woman of Faith?

Missionary Là Tanyha Boyd has a great passion for the up-building of God’s Kingdom. In having a mustard seed of “FAITH” and believing in the promises of God, she stepped out on just that and "Faith ABeliever's Virtual Book Club," along with “Spiritual Food for Thought~Radio" was born. With a mission to empower, equip and edify women in their life journey, she often challenges women to step outside the box and live their dream to continue to reach higher heights and deeper depths within.

To best describe her, she is not only a praying woman, a mother, a teacher and a visionary, but she is also an author, Founder of her own virtual/online book club, Executive Producer and host of her radio talk-show, mentor and an Inspirational speaker, with a heart and fire for God and His people.
Answering the Call to minister, she has been working in the vineyard for over ten years, and is a Licensed Missionary.

What’s on the horizon for Missionary La’ Tanyha?

Currently, Missionary Là Tanyha is penning a book entitled ‘Faith A Believer’s Devotional,’ As a Christian, there are times when you need encouragement and inspiration; especially when you’re dealing with the challenges of life. Faith A Believer’s Devotional is a daily devotional to encourage and inspire you in your walk with Christ; providing inspirational messages such as Walking in Purpose, A Time of Reflection, Confronting Me, Words of Encouragement and many, many, more. These devotions will not only offer daily words of inspiration but promote spiritual growth in the Lord and in your day to day living.

Once Editor-in-Chief for ‘Poetic Expressions Newsletter-PEN,’ Missionary Là Tanyha has also added numerous short stories and poems to her repertoire

This Woman of Faith and ABeliever of God’s Word(s) mission is not only to inspire individuals to define their purpose, but maximize their full God-given potential. She continues to reach the multitudes and win souls across the world through the airways because Missionary Là Tanyha, “Faith,” knows and understands that God has raised her up for such a time as this.

How was Faith ABeliever’s Virtual Book Club-FAB birthed?

Having an understanding that ministry goes beyond the four walls of church…
In the 21st Century, the church(s) dynamic was rapidly changing, as was technology. The internet and social media/networking became the new outreach for ministry and the up building of God’s kingdom. Unsure if I wanted to use this new outlet of communication, I prayed seeking God’s direction. I did know however, that whatever I did, I wanted it to have a purpose. It was then that God gave me the vision! There-after Faith ABeliever’s Virtual Book Club was born ministering to people across the globe! Not yet realizing the magnitude of this new ministry, God used FAB to reach the multitudes, with our first member being from Kenya, Africa.

What would you say is your connection with these Christian Authors (of today) that you feature?

As a walking Epistles in this journey that we call life, I truly believe that we all have a story to pen, share and be heard. As a writer and author myself, I find that most people don’t realize that writing is not only a gift, but also a ministry. The challenge that we face as authors, is getting the message and word out to the masses. Faith ABeliever’s Virtual Book Club(FAB) is an outlet to bridge the gap in the mission to minister to the unbeliever as well as Christians of all denominations.

What messages come across in our featured Author spots?

Turning the pages and getting to know our featured Christian authors, opens the door for discussions on real life experiences that both the believer and non-believer endure. Most of these topics are translated through the ‘power of the pen’ by these authors transparency, whether it’s fiction or nonfiction. Not only are subject matter such as divorce, racial division, child abuse, rape, domestic violence, etc… discussed, but the tools on how to overcome such dilemmas are given in the natural sense, as well as in the spiritual. This platform allows others to share their testimony, knowledge, wisdom, and experiences in order to Edify, Equip, and Empower someone else in knowing they are not alone. Through such Author chats and book discussions, with God as the orchestrator, and a mustard seed of Faith, someone can be brought into their breakthrough.

Jeremiah 29:11 - God has a "good plan" for all of us, sometimes we must call it forth and possess it like the children of Israel did their promised land.  That required faith and obedience on their part and a supernatural impartation on His part, the Holy Spirit.
I love authors.  When I sought the will of God for 2012, He told me to focus on helping authors.  I've been called to empower, exhort, and equip them to fufill their God purpose.  It brings me immense joy to do so.  That's where America's Favorite Author came from.  It's my way of thanking them for having the courage to put pen to paper and getting their message out to the masses.
I'll do more than that.  I wrote a sensational book that helps the aspiring author and the seasoned author navigate the new paridigm shift in the literary industry called Authorpreneurship.  Every tip and strategy that I use is "in the book."  So I encourage them to purchase it from Amazon or from my website: www.sharoncjenkins.com.

America's Favorite Author is a "people's choice" centered contest for authors based on the American Idol format.  It levels the playing field for self-published authors and assists traditionally published authors in expanding their territory to build a larger readership.  We are currently taking nominations until July 25th and the contest officially begins on August 1st.  All you have to do is send your nomination to info@americasfavoriteauthor.com or go to www.authorsnetworkingsummit.com to place your nomination.
